Hola a todos! I’m Carlos, born and raised in Mallorca. I’ve been sailing since I was about 5 years old with my father and grandfather. These days I have a Bavaria 38 that I keep in Club de Mar.
I know most of the anchorages around the island pretty well and I’m always happy to share local knowledge. I’ve also done quite a bit of boat maintenance over the years — mostly because I’m too stubborn to pay someone else to do it.
Looking forward to being part of this community. It’s great to see MSA building something like this.
Nice to meet you Carlos! A Bavaria 38 is a lovely boat. I charter a couple of them through the season — really well-designed cruisers. I’d love to pick your brain about anchorages on the north coast sometime. I know the south and east pretty well but always looking for new spots.
Ciao Carlos! Fellow Mediterranean sailor here. I sailed over from Sardinia last year and I’m based in Alcúdia for now. Would love to compare notes on maintenance — I’m dealing with some osmosis issues on my hull and could use some local recommendations for a yard.
